1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using staghenhouses.com (the "Website") operated by Stag & Hen Houses ("we", "us", or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our website, and to all bookings made for our holiday rental properties.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms of Service:
- "Property" means any holiday rental accommodation listed on our website
- "Guest" means the person making the booking and all persons staying at the property
- "Booking" means a confirmed reservation for a property
- "Rental Period" means the dates for which the property is booked
- "Security Deposit" means the refundable amount held against potential damages
- "Total Rental Price" means the total amount payable for the booking, excluding the security deposit
3. Booking and Reservations
Making a Booking
All bookings are subject to availability and our acceptance. A booking is only confirmed once you have received a written confirmation from us and the required deposit or full payment has been received.
Booking Requirements
- The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age
- Accurate information must be provided for all guests
- The maximum number of guests must not exceed the property's stated capacity
- The purpose of the stay must be disclosed at the time of booking
Group Bookings
Our properties are suitable for hen parties, stag parties, and group celebrations. However, we reserve the right to refuse bookings or terminate stays if guests fail to comply with property rules or behave in a manner that causes disturbance to neighbours or damage to the property.
4. Payment Terms
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental price is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Balance Payment
The remaining balance of 50%, plus the £500 security deposit, must be paid no later than 3 weeks before the start of the rental period. A reminder will be sent 21 days before your check-in date. For bookings made within 3 weeks of the rental period, full payment including the security deposit is required at the time of booking.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of £500 is required for all bookings. For advance bookings (more than 3 weeks before check-in), the security deposit is collected alongside the remaining balance 3 weeks before arrival. For bookings made within 3 weeks of check-in, the security deposit is payable at the time of booking. This deposit will be refunded within 7 days of your departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection of the property and settlement of any outstanding charges.
Payment Methods
Payments are processed securely via TrueLayer's open banking service. You will be redirected to TrueLayer's secure payment page where you can pay directly from your bank account. All payments must be made in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
5. Property Rules
All guests must adhere to the following rules during their stay:
General Rules
- Check-in time is from 3:00 PM and check-out time is by 10:00 AM unless otherwise agreed
- No smoking is permitted inside any of our properties
- Pets are only allowed at pet-friendly properties with prior arrangement
- The property must be left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition
- All rubbish must be disposed of in the designated bins
Noise and Conduct
- Quiet hours must be observed between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM
- Guests must be respectful of neighbours and the local community
- No fireworks, sky lanterns, or similar items are permitted
- Excessive noise or antisocial behaviour may result in immediate termination of the booking
Events and Parties
While our properties are ideal for celebrations, any events must be pre-approved. We may impose additional terms, conditions, and charges for events.
6. Liability and Damages
Guest Liability
The lead guest is responsible for the behaviour of all guests and visitors during the rental period. You will be held liable for any damage to the property, its contents, or the surrounding grounds caused by you or any member of your party.
Reporting Damage
Any damage or breakages must be reported to us immediately. Failure to report damage may result in additional charges.
Deductions from Security Deposit
We reserve the right to deduct from the security deposit the cost of repairing or replacing any damaged items, additional cleaning costs if the property is left in an unacceptable condition, and any other costs incurred as a result of your breach of these terms.
Additional Charges
If the cost of damage exceeds the security deposit, you will be liable for the additional amount and agree to pay any such costs within 14 days of receiving an invoice.
7. User Conduct
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or any systems connected to it
- Use any automated means to access the website or collect information from it
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the website
8. Intellectual Property
The website and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio) are owned by Stag & Hen Houses, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our website without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers
We endeavour to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, we do not warrant that the website or any content on it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
All property descriptions, photographs, and amenity lists are provided in good faith but are for guidance only. Minor differences between the descriptions and the actual property do not constitute grounds for compensation.
We are not responsible for any temporary unavailability of amenities (such as hot tubs, Wi-Fi, or heating systems) due to breakdown or maintenance, although we will make reasonable efforts to resolve any issues promptly.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stag & Hen Houses shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to your booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the booking in question.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stag & Hen Houses, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of these Terms of Service or your use of the website or our properties.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
